NairNairi, a Georgia-based startup, offers a diverse range of clothing and accessories known for its unique and creative approach to product design. For the launch of its socks line, the brand opted for special packaging intended to serve not only as functional packaging but also as a creative and humorous extension of the product and brand. During the project, two unique types of packaging were developed: one for promotional activities and the other for general use. Collaborating with the brand's owner, we designed a humorous squid-shaped packaging (the brand's main symbol) filled with playful twists.

Promo Packaging
Our eight-legged friends, who love to flaunt their socks during chilly winters, vibrant summers, or simply for making a style statement, are never shy to express their affection for their beloved pairs. They hold their socks so dear, and the moment you take them away, they can't help but feel a little down.
To achieve this effect, the packaging was designed in a way that allows the sock to cover its face, leaving the big eyes of the embracing squid still visible, creating an endearing moment. As soon as the socks are removed from the packaging or the squid's arms are opened, you can see the sad face along with a small text, questioning why you took the socks away from the squid.
General Packaging
Unlike their older siblings, these teenage squids are much younger and tend to be more expressive. They frequently experience mood swings and, in addition to their affection for their own pairs, they can be caught acting up at times.
To maintain a simpler design for this packaging, we opted for a smaller, "younger" version of the initial promotional packaging. By incorporating additional emotions inspired by emojis, which are a significant part of the brand's communication, we were able to infuse this packaging with uniqueness, fun, and, once again, cuteness.
